Lindsay Lohan Will Cover 'Vanity Fair' Again

Lindsay Lohan has no plans to stay out of the spotlight once she emerges from house arrest. Page Six reports that the Disney starlet-turned-tabloid staple has already lined up her first major post-confinement magazine cover, having posed for the cover of Vanity Fair last weekend at her home.

The shoot explains Lohan's new 'do: "She just bleached her hair blond in preparation," a source close to the shoot claims.

Lindsay has been on the cover of Vanity Fair twice before, most recently in October with the hilarious pull quote, "I'm literally falling apart!" No, Lindsay. That was your character in I Know Who Killed Me. Yes, really.

In 2006, the magazine ran a profile that alluded to the actress' drug use and bulimia, which led Lohan to claim that editor Evgenia Peretz had "misused and misconstrued" her words.

Seems she's gotten over it.

Lindsay Lohan Is Tanning and Painting While on House Arrest

So how is Lindsay Lohan filling her lonely days on house arrest? Tanning and painting! TMZ reports the troubled starlet has been spending lots of her time on the roof of her ritzy Venice Beach apartment building working on her tan and watching the ocean. And, when she's inside, she often paints.

LiLo managed to get only 35 days of house arrest, instead of 120 days in jail, when she was sentenced in early June for stealing a necklace from a swanky Beverly Hills jeweler. So, now she's enjoying some hard time at home.

Sources say the starlet is using this as a "time to relax, focus on her recovery and figure out her new game plan for her life and career."

Lindsay Lohan Begins 35 Days of House Arrest

Lindsay Lohan headed to the Lynwood Jail at the crack of dawn (5:02am, to be exact)  this morning and was fitted with an electronic ankle bracelet to kick off her house arrest. The starlet was then sent directly back to her Venice, Calif. home, where she'll spend the next 35 days.

LiLo better have a big Netflix queue since she'll be "confined to the interior premises of her home at all times," according to L.A. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore (via People.com).

Even though Lindsay might be bored out of her mind for the next month or so, we imagine hanging out at her sweet pad is far better than hanging out in jail for four months, which was her original sentence for stealing a necklace from a Beverly Hills jeweler. Thanks to jail overcrowding and her nonviolent offense, she was eligible for house arrest instead.

And, the house arrest might only be 2 weeks if she's on her best behavior. The bracelet doesn't monitor for alcohol or drug use, but she swears she's learned her lesson and is determined to stay sober for life .

Whitmore didn't reveal if there are any exceptions that would allow the actress to leave her home during the 35 days, say to do things like work off her 480 hours of community service. Lindsay will be completing the house at a women's shelter and she's expected to do some janitorial work at the LA County morgue!

Lindsay Lohan Would Love to Play Carrie in Stephen King Remake

Lindsay Lohan has had some trouble landing roles in the past few years, thanks to a string of box office bombs and the exorbitant cost of guaranteeing her insurance. But there may be a promising new project on Lohan's horizon, as writer Stephen King revealed to Entertainment Weekly that Lohan's name has been floated around a new film adaptation of King's horror classic Carrie.

"I've heard rumblings about a Carrie remake, as I have about The Stand and It. Who knows if it will happen? The real question is why, when the original was so good? I mean, not Casablanca, or anything, but a really good horror-suspense film, much better than the book ... Although Lindsay Lohan as Carrie White... hmmm. It would certainly be fun to cast. I guess I could get behind it if they turned the project over to one of the Davids: Lynch or Cronenberg," King mused.

As exciting as it would be to witness Lohan get drenched in faux pig's blood, the chances of her nabbing the title role in a Carrie remake are slim to none: She no longer has what it takes to play a high school student—especially not a cloistered Christian girl who has probably never smoked a cigarette in her life. Yet TMZ reports that Lindsay has told friends she's "stoked" at the prospect of working on a Steven King title. Dare to dream!
