Is One Direction ever popular or what? Say congratulations to these boys as they’ve just snagged the title of largest UK artist debut since 1998 for the Hot 100s Chart!According to Billboard, their single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ debuted at No.28 on the Hot 100s chart, and is at No. 12 for the Digital Charts, with 132,000 downloads. They are officially the highest chart debut since Verve’s ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ in 1998, who debutted at No. 13. It’s also nice to note that their single hasn’t managed to get onto the radio in the US yet either!
Besides getting this fabulous achievement, the boys have also won their first BRIT award and have appeared on iCarly. They’re also kicking off their US tour with Big Time Rush today!
