Lindsay Lohan gets jail time for probation violations

Lindsay Lohan must start serving 30 days in jail starting next week after admitting that she violated her probation on a necklace theft conviction, a Los Angeles County judge ordered Wednesday.

Following that 30-day term -- which begins November 9 -- if Lohan does not show up to work 12 days at the county morgue and attend four counseling sessions for each month after she is released from jail, she will be locked up for another 270 days, Judge Stephanie Sautner said.

"This is what we really call putting the keys to the jail in the defendant's hands," Sautner told Lohan.

The actress admitted to violating her probation during a hearing Wednesday.

Prosecutors said Lohan missed 12 of 20 scheduled work days at a downtown Los Angeles women's center, part of the court-ordered community service imposed in May when she pleaded guilty to stealing a necklace from a Venice, California, jewelry store.

Lohan, 25, was already on probation for two drunken driving convictions from 2007.

She also canceled 14 of 19 scheduled appointments for court-ordered psychotherapy, they said.

Lohan was allowed to post a $100,000 bond and remain free last month when the judge set Wednesday's hearing.

Lohan worked four days at the morgue in the last two weeks, according to Deputy Chief Coroner Ed Winter.

In May, Sautner sentenced Lohan to 120 days in jail, along with the community service. However, that sentence translated into 35 days of home confinement that ended on June 29. Jail overcrowding and state rules that give credit for good behavior for prisoners allowed for the shortened term.

Two weeks ago, the actress' father, Michael Lohan, told HLN's "Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell" program that his daughter shouldn't be in jail, but in rehab. Last week, Michael Lohan was arrested twice in two days for violating a court order to stay away from his former girlfriend. CNN learned Wednesday that he is now in an "administrative confinement" cell in the infirmary section of Orient Road jail in Tampa, Florida, where he's awaiting trial.

Lindsay Lohan was supposed to be performing community service at a downtown Los Angeles women's center, but she was dropped from the program because of missed appointments and disruptions, the judge said.

Lohan's attempt to perform community service at a nearby Red Cross facility was voided because Sautner said she didn't authorize that change.

Her legal woes, which began four years ago with two drunk driving arrests, have been compounded by her failure to attend counseling classes, and alcohol and drug test failures.

Her probation is scheduled to end within a year unless Lohan breaks any laws before then. It has been extended several times because of violations, including the failed alcohol and drug tests.

Lake Bell Goes Topless on HBO’s ‘How to Make it in America’

Lake Bell provides some of the sexual tension in HBO’s series “How to Make it in America.” The 32-year-old actress is topless in a scene from the current episode, which tracks the lives of two New Yorkers trying to make it in fashion.

The show is executive produced by Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Rob Weiss and Julian Farino, the crew who created the highly successful HBO series “Entourage.”

“Made in America” is supposed to be and “Entourage”-like show set in New York’s glitzy fashion industry. But after its debut season last year, it received mixed reviews from critics.

Athletes Gymnastics Alicia Sacramone has a torn Achilles tendon

Beijing Olympic captain Alicia Sacramone has a torn Achilles' tendon and expects to have surgery Monday.

The London Olympics begin in less than 10 months, and USA Gymnastics said Friday that Sacramone's recovery time won't be known until doctors see exactly where the tear is. Sacramone will have an MRI and meet with a doctor who specializes in Achilles' tendon injuries after she returns to the United States on Saturday.

"Alicia is good," said her coach, Mihai Brestyan. "We need to fix her for the Olympic Games."

Asked if he thought Sacramone can make it back, Brestyan said they need to wait until she sees the doctor.

"It looks OK now," he said. "She has no pain, she's in good spirits."

John Orozco, a member of the U.S. men's world team, blew out his Achilles' tendon at the 2010 U.S. championships and was competing again in June. He finished third at this year's nationals. German star Fabian Hambuechen is competing here after tearing his Achilles in January. And Courtney Kupets tore her Achilles' tendon at the 2003 world championships and recovered in time to make the U.S. team for the Athens Olympics.

Though the loss is a big blow for the inexperienced Americans, they should have little trouble finishing in the top eight at the world gymnastics championships and securing a spot at next summer's London Olympics. The U.S. women compete Saturday, along with defending champion Russia and China.

The U.S. had a good day of practice Friday, Brestyan said, and the fact Sacramone is in such good spirits is rubbing off on the rest of the team.

"She's a help to everybody. She needs to play the captain to the last moment," Brestyan said. "Everything is OK, we are OK."

Sacramone's injury leaves Aly Raisman, another of Brestyan's gymnasts, as the only American who has competed at a world championships before — and that was just last year. The remaining four gymnasts — U.S. champ Jordyn Wieber, McKayla Maroney, Sabrina Vega and Gabrielle Douglas — are all first-year seniors.

Sacramone would have provided big scores on vault, where she's the defending world champion, balance beam and floor, and the Americans will now have to put up every gymnast on each event in qualifying, where five gymnasts compete and the top four scores are counted. The format changes for team finals, where three gymnasts compete on each event and all three scores count.

"I am so disappointed to not be able to compete and be a part of this team's … success," said Sacramone, who was hurt while doing a tumbling run during training Thursday. "This is an incredibly talented and wonderful group of girls and I have great confidence in their ability to go out and represent the United States to the best of their ability."

Khloe Kardashian Jokes About 'Tranny' Makeup

Khloe Kardashian recently joked that she and her sisters "turned out to be the biggest trannies" because they wear so much makeup. According to Khloe and her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian, their father, the late Robert Kardashian, sparked a love of all things beauty-related. They claim he felt makeup was part of a regimen women and girls needed to look good.

At an early age the three sisters were instructed in application methods by a professional makeup artist and the rest is history. Having mentioned their obsession with cosmetics and haircare it's no surprise that they're all spokeswomen for PerfectSkin and both Kim and Khloe have their own fragrances. In addition, Kim has expressed a strong interest in creating her own line of cosmetics.

Recently Kourtney was a celebrity guest editor on StyleBistro and she graciously shared some of her beauty secrets. She mentioned she switches up the shampoo and conditioner she uses and does a hair mask once a month made out of avocado, mayonnaise, egg, olive oil, castor oil and coconut oil. She also mentioned a few of her favorite go-to makeup products.

So even though the ladies know they pile on the products and have been told by publicists to lighten up, they don't particularly care. They don't need all the makeup, they just like it and their fans seem to like it, too. Also, don't take Khloe's comments about "trannies" too literally. She's been an avid supporter of 'It Gets Better', a campaign to help end LGBT bullying.

Ashton Kutcher Cheating on Demi Moore: Sara Leal on Verge of Suicide

The "Ashton Kutcher cheating on Demi Moore" scandal has possibly made Sara Leal, his one-night-stand, a.k.a. mistress, suicidal from all the negative press. Initially Leal had been beyond pleased with herself for having had sex with Kutcher but it seems like cloud nine has turned into a nightmare.

Thanks to Nik Richie's TheDirty.com, Sara saw herself elevated in mammoth proportions. Her name and history has been strewn through the mud. Although some have speculated that Leal is loving the attention, one of her friends wrote that the negative attention and bad press has actually driven the blonde into a depressed state.

Writing to Nik, the unidentified friend wrote, "I can respect the business you run but this Sara thing needs to stop Nik. She is severely depressed and will not stop crying. Ashton ruined her life but why do you have to keep stabbing her in the throat. I'm begging you to stop posting her and us. Nobody knew it would get this crazy and I don't want my friend to kill herself. Ashton is a piece of sh*t and I hope his life gets ruined like Sara's. Now please Nik give my friend her life back."

There is a big chance that this friend is the same one who was present in Kutcher's hotel room when Leal and he had sex. She has now also lawyered up. Nik, ever the sympathetic one wrote, "Not that I want to stab more, but here are things I have confirmed... Currently (after media caught on to the story, thanks to me) Sara Leal has been hiding out in a 3 million dollar compound in Pacific Beach popping Xanax like crazy from the stress and anxiety. She refuses to come outside because there are paparazzi parked out front. SHE IS NOT EATING."

Sadly for Sara Leal, this is just the beginning. At the age of 22, Leal decided to willingly have sex with a mega-celebrity, Ashton Kutcher, who is married to another mega-celebrity, Demi Moore. Stories of cheating to this extreme don't come around everyday so when they do, the media and especially the tabloids hold on and won't let go. This really goes to show that one night of ecstasy is all it takes to ruin your life. It has surely impacted Moore and Kutcher's lives negatively so it's no surprise that Leal is experiencing such backlash for her actions and decisions that fateful night.
